The pixel research group at Shandong University (Qingdao) has an opening for a postdoctoral position on the development of the CMOS pixel sensor, aka the monolithic active pixel sensor (MAPS), as well as relevant detector R&D. Our group is deeply involved in the R&D of silicon tracking detector for the Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC) project and a upgrade plan for the inner chamber of the BES-III tracking system. The R&D activities include sensor design and simulation, chip tests, prototype development as well as detector simulation and optimization. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in relevant activities.

The candidate should or will have a PhD degree in experimental particle physics or microelectronics. Candidates having expertise in chip design or particle detection techniques will be preferable.

The position is based at Qingdao campus of Shandong University. Initial appointment will be made for two years, with possible renewal. The annual salary will range from 150 kRMB to 300 kRMB, depending on expertise and performance. More details about salary and other practical information can be found at the links below.
