The neutrino and dark matter research group at Shandong University (Qingdao) has an opening for a postdoctoral position on the PandaX-4T experiment. The experiment features more than four tonnes of liquid xenon for dark matter and neutrino research mainly. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in detector commissioning, forthcoming physics analyses as well as R&D for the next-generation liquid xenon experiment.

Our group has been actively involved in the PandaX series experiments since 2010. As for PandaX-4T, we are fully in charge of the photomultiplier tube (PMT) system, partially responsible of the electronics, trigger and data acquisition system, and having physics interest in detecting neutrinos from astrophysical sources, including the Sun and supernovae.

The candidate should or will have a PhD degree in experimental particle physics. Candidates with expertise related to our group activities will be preferable.

The position is based at Qingdao campus of Shandong University, but frequent travelling to the experimental site at Jinping in Sichuan province is expected.

Initial appointment will be made for two years, with possible renewal. The annual salary will range from 150 kRMB to 300 kRMB, depending on expertise and performance. More details about salary and other practical information can be found at the links below.
